Walton Creel is a Birmingham artist whose performances, videos, and
paintings-by-gunshots use aggression and humor to confront clichés
in rural southern culture. Creel was a former member of the artist
collective Quaint, and has exhibited throughout the South. Creel will
be resident artist at Coleman Center for the Arts in York Alabama this
Spring, and is currently featured in the 2008 Nov/Dec issue of ArtPapers.
